Feel nature and life
Ice & Icebergs
Observe the fascinating wildlife of Greenland
Very few animal and plant species have managed to adapt to the extremes of the Arctic. Observations and encounters are fascinating.
In summer, hundreds of whales come to the region to feed off of the ocean’s productivity during the arctic summer. Arctic foxes can be observed at the camp. Some flowers bloom in the valleys and on the ridges and birches and willows grow flat to the ground to brave the winter storms.
Below the surface, the diversity of species is much greater and many of the nutrients are transported from here to land, making it possible for most animal species to survive.
Icecamp Impressions
Wonderworld under water
Icebergs and pack ice form a wonderland that divers can explore with us. The ice changes daily, creates new dive sites and makes every dive unique.
The astonishingly varied and colorful underwater world may surprise many divers. You will discover real kelp forests and coral walls, and macro photographers will have the opportunity to catch extremely rarely photographed species on camera.
